Major Perks Await You at These Renowned Las Vegas Hotels with Your Marriott Status.

Months after the initial announcement of the partnership between Marriott International and MGM Resorts, the two renowned brands have provided further information about their collaboration and its implications for their members.

Referred to as the “MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy,” members of both programs can now link their accounts and transfer points between Marriott Bonvoy and MGM Rewards, as shared by Marriott with Travel + Leisure. Currently, Marriott Bonvoy boasts a membership of over 190 million, while MGM Rewards has more than 43 million members.

Members of the Marriott Bonvoy program will have the opportunity to earn bonus points on future stays at MGM’s renowned Las Vegas hotels, including Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, and MGM Grand, based on their current status. Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members will enjoy additional benefits such as priority check-in, complimentary late checkout, and welcome gifts, including a $15 food and beverage credit. Marriott has provided a comprehensive chart outlining the various benefits for each membership level.

Marriott Bonvoy also offers special amenities corresponding to each level of service, with Ambassador Elite members receiving the dedicated assistance of a concierge for their travel plans. On the other hand, members of MGM Rewards may have an advantage, as the update reveals that those with Gold, Platinum, or NOIR status will be able to directly match their status with Marriott Bonvoy, regardless of their MGM status.

The status conversion is as follows:
– MGM Rewards Gold will be granted Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status.
– MGM Rewards Platinum will be granted Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status.
– MGM Rewards NOIR will be granted Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite status.

Although the exact date for the implementation of the partnership benefits has not been disclosed by either partner, Marriott previously stated that “by early 2024, several MGM Resorts destinations will be available for booking on Marriott’s robust digital platforms, including Marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app, with all properties expected to be included.”
